Although the baffles in the rugged obsidian are keyed, the baffles in the sound module are not and can cause the keyways to be offset from the baffles in the main body of the suppressor. This inexpensive tool allows you to ensure perfect alignment during assembly. This ensures better suppression and more repeatable point of impact shift. I would recommend this tool.
Awesome tool to align baffles on a Rugged Obsidian suppressor. Getting 2nd baffle tube on and tightening endcap almost always moves the 2nd baffle stack, so first and 2nd tubes not perfectly aligned. With this tools, keeps everything aligned. Simple, easy to use design and perfect fit. Thank you.

Like the title says it does work like a champ. It is so simple to use.
The product worked just as great as advertised. There’s no more guess work in making sure the baffles are aligned. This is very helpful when putting the suppressor back into the long configuration after unscrewing it to place it in the short configuration.

Takes the annoyance of aligning the baffle stack and making it an easy process. By aligning the baffles with a marking on the outside of the can, POI stays consistent. I've found that putting the tool into the back end of the can with the piston removed, aligning all the baffles, then tightening the front module, then the end cap while making sure the stack stays in the same place works best. I have one in 45 and 9.
